I once heard that the best part of a first kiss was the moment leading up to it… the drumroll, if you will. You can feel the electricity between you, pulling you in closer and closer; you feel yourself falling.
But I disagree. When you think about it, the drumroll is only ever just a crescendo, a lead-up, only building and building. But as it builds it drives you mad, causes you to become impatient, but it holds you there. You don’t dare pull away. Finally the cymbals crash and the rest of the band picks up and I can feel my heart pound and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I’m swept away when you finally break the drumroll, when you finally kiss me.
